A webinar hosted by various Government agencies aims to assist small businesses prepare for the new financial year.
The webinar will be hosted by the Fair Work Ombudsman, which has teamed up with the Australian Tax Office (ATO), the Australian Securities and Investment Commission (ASIC) and the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC).
It is set to arm small businesses with tools and resources to help them meet end-of-year requirements, prepare for the coming financial year and protect and strengthen their brand in the year ahead.
Issues to be discussed include the annual wage review, the role and responsibilities of intermediaries under the Fair Work Act, refreshing workplace knowledge and the Agency’s Pay and Conditions Tool and E-learning courses.
Speakers include Fair Work Ombudsman executive director for proactive compliance and education Lynda McAlary-Smith; ACCC deputy chair Dr Michael Schaper; ATO deputy commissioner Steve Vesperman and ASIC senior manager of small business compliance and deterrence Joe Zubcic.
The free webinar will be held at 7pm on Thursday 9 June, and attendees can submit question in advance or during the webinar.
